This 2023 Jeep Wagoneer left our shop with three cameras watching over it: 4K recording out the front, 2K out the rear glass, and an infrared camera covering the cabin. We installed a Thinkware U3000 PRO with the optional interior camera and hardwired it to the vehicle, with the wiring routed behind the headliner and trim for a clean, factory-style look.
Want to see the footage? The project gallery below includes a clip from both cameras, recorded on a quick drive around our building.
Three Cameras, Full Coverage
Front: 4K
A Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with HDR captures sharp detail, like license plates, in bright sun or at night.
Rear: 2K
Mounted at the top of the rear glass to record what’s happening behind the vehicle.
Interior: Infrared
Records the cabin while you drive. Infrared lights keep the picture clear even in total darkness.
Protection While You’re Parked
The U3000 PRO has built-in radar that watches for movement around the vehicle while it’s parked. When something approaches, the camera wakes up and records, then drops back to low-power standby. Because it’s hardwired, parking mode runs without a cord in your power outlet, and a low-voltage cutoff shuts it down before your battery gets too low.
A Clean, Factory-Style Install
- ✓Wiring hidden behind the headliner and trim
- ✓Hardwired to vehicle power, with no plug-in cords
- ✓Front camera mounted high beside the factory mirror housing
- ✓Interior camera at the mirror, facing the cabin
- ✓Rear camera tucked up at the top of the rear glass
It Starts With a Consultation
Not every vehicle needs the same dash cam setup. Every project starts with a consultation where we go over how you use your vehicle and what you want covered, whether that’s front and rear only, interior recording, parking protection, or remote access. Then we build the system around that, and our team handles the install from start to finish.
Pricing depends on the camera and options you choose, so we go over it during your consultation.
Tunes is located at 7120 Weddington Rd in Concord, NC, and works with drivers from Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Kannapolis, and Harrisburg. Looking for a dash cam in a different vehicle? See our dash camera installation services.
Jeep Wagoneer Dash Cam FAQ
Can you install a dash cam in a Jeep Wagoneer without visible wires?
Yes. We hardwire the camera to vehicle power and route the wiring behind the headliner and trim panels, so there are no cords hanging across the dash.
Will a hardwired dash cam drain my battery?
It’s designed not to. The U3000 PRO’s radar parking mode draws very little power in standby, and a low-voltage cutoff turns parking mode off before the battery gets too low to start the vehicle.
Does the interior camera work at night?
Yes. Its infrared lights keep the cabin visible even in total darkness. Because the infrared stays on, daytime interior footage can have a slight purple tint, which is normal.
How do I get footage off the camera?
Use Thinkware’s app to connect to the camera over its built-in Wi-Fi, then review and save clips on your phone. You can also remove the memory card and view footage on a computer.
Can I check on my vehicle remotely?
The U3000 PRO has an accessory port that supports either the interior camera or an optional LTE module for remote viewing and alerts. We’ll help you decide which one fits how you use your vehicle during your consultation.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the camera and options you choose, so we go over pricing during your consultation. Call us at 704-610-6023 or schedule a consultation to get started.
